Musical Evolution

Michael Stosic is a Contemporary Christian singer, songwriter, and recording artist who began his recording career in 1982 with a blue-eyed soul rock/pop self-titled album. This obscure debut was later recognized as an AOR masterpiece and reissued globally by P-Vine Records of Japan in 2020. He transistioned into Christian and inspirational music in 1986, building a worldwide audience across 118 countries with fourteen songs debuting in the Top 20 radio charts.

Stosic's career spans two distinct musical eras with steady growth and recognition.

* 1982 debut - Recorded his first album in Reno, Nevada, a blue-eyed soul and rock/pop work that remained obscure until recognition decades later

* 1986 pivot - Wrote and recorded Brand New Love, his first Contemporary Christian album, which became an instant hit on the West Coast via Seattle's KCMS Radio

* Competition success - Three songs from Brand New Love entered the Christian Artist International Songwriting Competition and all three placed in the Top 10, "Surrender" won the KCMS People's Choice Award

* Studio albums - Ten more albums released after Brand New Love, including Gospel Train, Welcome Home, The God Who Named the Stars, My Favorite Hymns, and Another Friday Harbor Christmas

In 1982 Michael Stosic recorded his first album, considered an AOR Soft Rock Masterpiece and Michael was signed by P-Vine Records of Japan in 2020 for an International re-release of this wonderful album. In November of 2024 two of Michael's songs from this  album have been included in this new HBO Original Yacht Rock Greatest Songs. His songs are "Backstreet Dancer" and "If You Ever Change Your Mind."

The God Who Named the Stars

Renowned singer songwriter, Michael Stosic  is excited to announce the release of his highly anticipated album “The God Who Named the Stars.” The album, recorded in his studio based in Reno, Nevada, was released  in 2023, and includes his hit songs You're Not Alone, The God Who Named the Stars, Peace, Drink From the Wells and Don't Grow Weary. All of these songs debuted in the Christian AC Top 20 Chart through Play MPE digital radio distribution. This album also includes a tribute Michael wrote for his little dog Frank called Goodbye Old Friend.
