Story

I wrote "On That Day" about  losing important people in my life, my daughter Georgia and my Dad. But this is not a song of sorrow but of hope based on my Christian faith that on that day, the day of my final breath, I'll be reunited with them as well as all of my family and friends who have gone before me. It is also a song to say make sure we tell the ones we love that we love them everyday as none of us has a guarantee for tomorrow.

From the album "The Foot of the Cross."

On that day when I final breath my last

Will I be thankful for my life

Or will I just forget my past

On that day will I have done all that I could

To help the ones who were in need

Did I do them any good

On that day, on that day, on that day.

I can’t wait to see my daddy I miss him every day

And my little daughter Georgia I never got to see her face

Than all my friends and family those who have gone before

Will be there waiting for me when I pass through heavens door

On that day. On that day, on that day.

On that day with my hearts resolving beat

Will I have run my race to win

Or was my contest bittersweet

On that day when my new life has begun

And I will stand before my God

Will He say my child well done

On that day, on that day, on that day.

I’m not guaranteed tomorrow I can’t afford to wait

To tell the ones I love I love before it is too late

Each days a gift from heaven I’ll treasure every one

And do the good that I can do until my time is done

On that day, on that day, on that day.

I can’t wait to see my daddy I miss him every day

And my little daughter Georgia I never got to see her face

Than all my friends and family those who have gone before

Will be there waiting for me when I pass through heavens door

On that day. On that day, on that day.
